Atlas the Dragon from the North

Atlas is a 14 month old English Bulldog. He enjoys Halloween very much and is glad to Trick and especially TREAT as long as possible.

Sir Paco the Fearless

Paco is a 7-year-old Corgi and an HSHV alumnus. He looks very regal in his homemade chain mail vest!

Princess Bianca

Bianca is a 10 year old Blue Point. The costume is entitled "Princess Bianca". Bianca wants everyone to treat her like the Princess she is even when she isn't wearing her royal attire.

Nikko the Flying Winged Monkey!

This is Nikko, a 22 month old male Papillon. He was adopted from a local rescue at 10 weeks old.

Nikko got his name from the leader of the flying monkeys (Nikko) in the original Wizard of Oz book by Frank Baum.

Duchess the Pumpkin Witch

Duchess will celebrate her 1 year birthday on November 21, 2009. She is not a scary witch but a nice Maltese witch. She can cast a sweet spell on you.

Stinky the Mischievous Elf!

Stinky is a 6 1/2 year old HSHV Alumnus that says "what can I get into next?"

Stinky's Mom works at HSHV so he can't win the contest but he's too cute not to show him off!

Bella the Friendly, Cowardly Lion

This is Bella a 15 month old female German Shepherd. Bella's full name is "Schmetterling Freund Isabella Grayce" and she was not a rescued puppy. However, she was brought into her home to keep her brother Nikko company.

Nikko rules the roost in the home, thus Bella bows to the winged monkey - we don't blame her!

Flight of the DexterBee

At just over a year old, Dexter -- named after Cary Grant's character in The Philadelphia Story -- remains quite the charmer and continues to be grateful to the Humane Society for finding him a home when he was just a wee pup.  Half Sheltie and half your best guess (Papillon?), Dex is a bit mischievous but also a good sport for wearing the bee costume for the greater part of an afternoon to film this tongue-in-cheek video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1gZpNNf8Hyo. 

Max the Angel

Sadly Max is no longer with us. His Mom is an HSHV employee and in his memory we wanted to post a picture of him.

He was the happiest dog you'd ever meet, loved camping, and was more than willing to endure anything - including costumes. He is missed.

Misty the Cat Giraffe!

Misty is a 12 year old rescued stray that doesn't mind dress-up. Her giraffe costume is pretty darn cute.

Masters of the Universe!

Meet Donut (a.k.a. Battle Cat). Donut was adopted from HSHV in 2008.

He-Man and "Battle Cat" duked it out but no blood was spilled. Battle Cat is the Master on his universe.
