My son was looking for an older cat to adopt. He had moved out on his own and wanted something to come home to. Joe visited the Humane Society for weeks looking at all of the cats. We finally came together on a Sunday afternoon to pick out his forever friend. Libby was the last cat we visited – and despite Libby’s being 10 years old and nervous, she climbed right up into Joe’s lap. Decision made! Libby, now Captain Marvel, went home that day.

Captain Marvel sleeps with her human, sits on her human’s chair while he is at work, suns herself in his windows, and is an all around sweet girl. She still struggles with food (as she did in the shelter) but with coaxing of some tuna and soft treats, she is slowly becoming a good eater. We couldn’t be happier with the Humane Society of Huron Valley and their care of all of the animals. And Captain Marvel? She’s happy to have a forever home with a human who adores her.
