These are some of our staff’s favorite animals. Shout out to our media partners for helping homeless pets find great homes! You can listen to us talk about these Pets of the Week on Thursdays around 8:05 a.m. on WTKA, 8:20 a.m. on W4 Country, and 8:30 a.m. on Ann Arbor’s 107one, and around 10 a.m. on Saturday on 1290 AM WLBY.

Arnold the rabbit

The Ann Arbor’s 107one Pet-of-the-Week is Arnold

Meet Arnold! He’s no wascally wabbit, but a benevolent bunny ready to share his peaceful existence with you! Arnold’s intelligent and sensitive, and can easily entertain himself but will sit in a trusted human’s lap. Whether you’re an experienced rabbit owner or have never considered sharing your home with these happy creatures, come let Arnold win you over!

Rabbits are not for everyone, however. These beautiful animals should never be given as gifts, and all of the hours of care associated with caring for a rabbit needs to be considered. A rabbit’s trust must be earned, and often young people do not have the patience or temperament to safely and humanely handle a rabbit. If you have a relatively quiet household that would benefit from one of these gentle creatures, please come and meet our homeless rabbits at HSHV!

All the animals available for adoption at the Humane Society of Huron Valley (HSHV) are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on their vaccinations and have a microchip I.D. which is included in their affordable adoption fee.

Seamus the dog

The WTKA Top-Dog-of-the-Week is Seamus

Don’t be afraid of change–welcome Seamus into your life! He’s actually dealing with a lot of change himself, being re-homed at age 7 and getting used to a new routine first at the shelter and now in his loving foster home. Seamus may need time to get used to all these new people and places, but he wants so badly to make friends- just give him a bit of reassurance, and he’s quick to roll over for belly rubs. Seamus loves calm adults and has also enjoyed hanging out with our gentle teenage volunteers. If he sounds like the right fit for you, come meet him today!

Ted the cat

The W4 Country Pet-of-the-Week is Ted

Meet Ted, the sweet but a-little-reserved (at first) feline available for adoption! He is looking for a home that is similar with his low-key vibes. He does ask that he doesn’t share his home with any children under the age of 5. If you have time, patience, and room to love, come visit with Ted!

Mattea the dog

The Lucy Ann Lance Show Pet-of-the-Week is Mattea

Meet Mattea, our six-year-old dog of the week! Mattea is looking for a home with someone who understands that sometimes new people and places can be scary. However, once you get to know her she can be quite the wiggly lady! Once Mattea gets comfortable with you, she really won’t want to share you, so she does ask that she doesn’t share a home with any other canines or children under 5.
