You can listen to us talk about these Pets of the Week on Thursdays around 8:05 a.m. on WTKA, 8:20 a.m. on W4 Country, and 8:30 a.m. on Ann Arbor’s 107one, and around 10 a.m. on Saturday on 1290 AM WLBY.

Rabbit the bunny

The Ann Arbor’s 107one Pet-of-the-Week is Rabbit

Meet Rabbit! Although bunnies are known for their speed, this guy likes to take it slow. That includes adjusting to his new home- Rabbit would love an adopter who will let him do things at his own pace, without too much over-handling. Once he feels at home, Rabbit will be a great companion and will come to you when he wants attention!

Rabbits are amazing pets, but should never be given as gifts, and potential adopters should consider all of the hours of care associated with caring for them. Do you have a relatively quiet household that would benefit from a peaceful and gentle creature? Come meet Rabbit today!

All the animals available for adoption at the Humane Society of Huron Valley (HSHV) are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on their vaccinations and have a microchip I.D. which is included in their affordable adoption fee.

Sammy the dog

The WTKA Top-Dog-of-the-Week is Sammy

Choo choo! All aboard! Meet Sammy, a 4 year-old Coonhound looking for a forever home! Because of our successes, and desire to help animals in struggling communities, HSHV has started a transportation program dubbed “The Love Train.” The Love Train brings animals from shelters out-of-state and other communities in Michigan. HSHV’s Love Train is part of our ongoing collaborative effort to reduce needless suffering of homeless animals wherever they may be.

Humphrey the cat

The W4 Country Pet-of-the-Week is Humphrey

Meet Humphrey, the female cat who goes by the name Humphrey because it has been her name forever. She doesn’t know it’s a silly name but after a while you will see that it fits her goofy personality. She is a little bit nervous here in shelter and prefers to have four on the floor at all times but with some gentle love and care she is sure to gain some confidence back and show you her playful side. Humphrey will benefit going home with an experienced cat owner who can read her signals and give her the space she needs. If Humphrey sounds like the cat for you we hope you will meet her today.

Sabina the dog

The Lucy Ann Lance Show Pet-of-the-Week is Sabina

You come for the amazing ears, and you stay for the fun personality! Sabina is a daring, adventurous companion, ready to zoom into your family! She is definitely not a couch potato and wants someone who is ready to chase the day away. She’s a petite little firecracker, but also needs a calm person who will continue her training and keep her mind as busy as her legs. Sabina would like a home without any other doggy siblings or kids under 12. If she sounds like your prefect lovebug, come meet her today!

Sabina is currently living in one of our foster homes. Adopting from foster is easy! Please e-mail adoptions@hshv.org or call 734.662.5585 to arrange to meet Sabina today!
