Adopt a Pet-of-the-Week!

These are some of our staff’s favorite animals. Shout out to our media partners for helping homeless pets find great homes! You can listen to us talk about these Pets of the Week on Thursdays around 7:30 a.m. on Ann Arbor’s 107one, 8:05 a.m. on WTKA, and around 10 a.m. on Saturday on 1290 AM WLBY.

The Ann Arbor’s 107one Pet-of-the-week is Mr. Pibb!

Hi my name is Mr. Pibb! I am a shy dog by nature, so meeting new people can put me in a bit of a ruff spot. But I recently was lucky enough to go to a foster home, and my new foster parent says I have been adjusting well and that I am gentle, well-mannered in the home, and so sweet! I even seem to know some commands! I am working on getting more confident and comfortable. Can you be my safe person? Reach out to the adoptions team to arrange a meeting with me!

Adopting from foster is easy: please email adoptions@hshv.org or call (734)662-5585 to arrange a meeting today.

All animals available for adoption through the Humane Society of Huron Valley (HSHV) are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on their vaccinations and have a microchip I.D. which is included in their affordable adoption fee.

The WTKA Top-Dog-of-the-Week is Tarragon!

The WTKA Top-Dog-of-the-Week is Tarragon!

Tarragon is one of those sparkly, easygoing dogs who gets along with everyone: she enjoys visiting youth programs and going on field trips with our Humane Education team to the Washtenaw Juvenile Detention Center, spreading joy wherever she goes. Tarragon would do well in an active household, with plenty of exercise and adventure. She can be selective when it comes to new canine friends, and would like to meet any potential dog siblings before going home; she may also do best in a home without young kids due to her energy level.

The Lucy Ann Lance Show Pet-of-the-Week is Colby!

The Lucy Ann Lance Show Pet-of-the-Week is Colby!

Colby ran right in front of a car. It belonged to a couple on their way home from their anniversary dinner, and thankfully they avoided this frightened dog and pulled over to call out to him. Colby was soaking wet and filthy, but he gratefully jumped into their car when they offered him shelter from the rain.
This kind couple brought Colby to HSHV, and here’s what they have to say: “This black and white gem is such a sweetie pie. All he wants is to be loved and to love on you. We LOVED him. If you know anyone that is looking for a new best friend or if you yourself are looking for a sweetheart to join your home, please consider this boy!”
Colby is a friendly 1.5 year old fella who should do well in a wide variety of homes! Come meet him today, no appointment needed, or call us at 734-662-5585 to learn more ❤️
