We came to the Humane Society of Huron Valley for a few weeks to find that perfect dog who would choose us. After seeing a few dogs, I saw a sad little face in one of the kennels. After watching so many people walk past him because he wasn’t happy, wagging his tail, wanting to be petted, I asked to see him. He was shy at first, but as soon as the nice lady that worked there came in, he leaned into me and gave me a big sloppy kiss. I knew he had chose us. The next day we

So glad I found this site. I hated Maizie’s breed. I’ve only been bitten and annoyed by small dogs. I walked right past her. The friend I was with said, “How about this one?” Me: “I hate yippy yappy football dogs.” The HSHV employee said, “She’s actually a sweet girl. He has been my companion for almost eight years getting me through some rough times and having lots of good times
One of the best decisions I made was adopting my buddy. He gets me through the rough spots and bumps of life, and asks for nothing; he is happy just getting attention. We walk daily which keeps us both healthy. He goes with me just about everywhere. We even took a trip to Olympic National Park last spring. I’m hoping to get a motor home so that we can both explore this beautiful country of ours. Bruno is pictured here wearing his safety vest at work with me at the railroad. We just had a big update at work with
