March 26, 2025 marks half a year of us being under the same roof. I remember last September, after learning that I had to take my first test in my Honors Art Appreciation class, which was balanced with 15 other credits, I was thinking about a source of energy that could strengthen my mental health. I was excited about the idea of getting a four-legged companion, and without further ado, I did it after a few weeks of thinking about it. When I first saw him on the website, I felt a special connection and immediately decided to “summon” this guy. On Thursday of that week, I went to Huron Valley to meet him. At first, he seemed quiet and uninterested as I sat across from him with a towel on my lap and a look of hope that he would climb up there. After a while, although we didn’t have much impression of each other, of course before coming here, I was sure that he would come home with me. It was the first time I knew how to buy things for a cat, sign the adoption papers, and bring the cat home. Oh, what a great feeling! As soon as we got back to the dorm, he was very active and talked a lot. It didn’t take long for us to become close because he always followed me around 🙂
