One way to pick Michigan politicians: See how they treat animals

Gubernatorial candidate, Shri Thanedar, recently received some negative publicity regarding lab animals (beagles and monkeys) used at his former research facility.  The company filed for bankruptcy and the animals were abandoned, locked in the building with no care.  They were saved by former lab workers who broke into the building to provide food and water, and rescue groups who found placements in homes and sanctuaries.  The candidate claimed he was an animal lover and blamed the bank that foreclosed on the property. St. Paul Summer Camp Makes Items for HSHV Animals!

The generous kids at St. Paul Summer Camp spent time learning about dogs! As a part of their camp experience, they worked together to make fleece blankets and dog bandannas for the furry friends at HSHV. Because of them, our dogs will look much more handsome and sleep comfortably while waiting for their fur-ever home. Alex Donates Birthday Gifts to Animals!

Alex and his family adopted their beloved cat from HSHV two years ago and he has been thinking of a way to help the other homeless animals. For his birthday this year, Alex decided that instead of getting gifts for himself, he would ask his family and friends to bring donations for our organization. We were so grateful to receive Alex’s generous donation and hope he knows how much it will help our animals. Thank you, Alex!
