Ann Arbor, MI (July 9, 2021) — The Humane Society of Huron Valley (HSHV) applauds the Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners for passing a resolution Wednesday opposing wildlife killing contests in Michigan and encouraging the state to ban them outright. The resolution notes that such contests promote indiscriminate killing, are counterproductive to wildlife management and violate responsible hunting practices. My beautiful best friend
At the beginning of the pandemic, I found myself on the private adoption page of HSHV’s website. There was a little 18 year old ragdoll kitty posted, and I knew the moment I saw her picture I had to have her. Her mom had gone into hospice and she needed a home to live out her final years. A Sale for the Animals
River’s Edge Charity Sale Kids are kind kids indeed! They wanted to help animals and have fun. The kids made paintings, drawings, jewelry, and baked goods to sell at their neighborhood charity sale. They also advertised the sale in their neighborhood. Then, they donated the funds they raised to HSHV to help the animals! We really appreciate your thoughtfulness and generosity!
