I saw Yeti’s picture, and immediately thought he’d be perfect for our home. Little did I know he would be a menace the first few weeks, destroying everything and causing a mess! I almost reconsidered adopting him. However, weeks later he showed amazing improvement with love and training. Sometimes you have to give them time and compassion, which went a long way with Yeti. When I first visited Sid he was very anxious and would not let me touch him for several days. Once I brought him home, he was a totally different dog. Lucy is a typical sassy and smart husky! Understandably, she was a bit timid at first as her and her brothers came to HSHV after their owner was in a tragic accident. At first it was difficult to differentiate what was fear versus stubbornness, having to initially carry her down/up stairs (now she FLIES down them).
