We first got Owen and it was love at first sight. He was the first missing piece we found and we were so happy and excited to get him home. He became best friends with our miniature dachshund and they were best buds no breaking them up and because they both had separation anxiety they helped each other a lot. Then our miniature dachshund passed away and Owen was lost and sad, it broke our hearts and so when we were ready we came back to HSHV and that’s when we found Princess peach or as we call her Mama Duke and it was love at first sight all over again. The way she clung to us and was playful but gentle all at the same time. I knew she was the last missing puzzle piece for us. When we got home her and Owen instantly became best friends and they play and cuddle together it’s the best thing ever to watch Owen become himself again! But one can’t be out of sight of the other or they bark and howl it’s the funniest thing to watch. We are so grateful for HSHV helping us become a family again.
