I got a cat named Bing, who I got for my third birthday. on November 7th, he passed away at 17.5 years old. I’ve had him my entire life! (at least the entire time i can remember) So that’s been really hard. I believe he was my soul cat. My mom rescued Bingy when he was 2 months old from the humane society of huron valley & he lived a great life. and i miss him very much. But on Friday, I got to go pick up my new kitten whom i’ve named Boon. He is beautiful, a longhair cat just like Bing. I chose him in specific because I SWEAR I had a dream that Bing was behind the couch swatting at this little kitten., and when i saw him on humane society’s website, i KNEW i had to have him. He was uploaded at 8pm a week ago yesterday & I filled out an application to adopt him. They reached out that night in fact, and I was able to meet him last friday. He was a stray kitten, he had some others with him & they all had respiratory infections and their eyes were infected and crusted over. He wasn’t fixed & weighed 1.5 pounds.

Wednesday, I received the call that he’s all better, his checkup was great and he was neutered, and that I could come pick him up on Friday. I am thankful to be able to rescue a cat, like how my mom did with Bing, at the EXACT SAME place Bing came from. I chose the name Boon which is typically spelled Boone but I thought the four letters looked cuter. I chose that name because it means Blessing. which I 100% believe he is a blessing from above from my soul kitty, bingy.

Boon is now home, and settling in PERFECTLY. I highly recommend HSHV and I will ALWAYS adopt through them. They are the best of the best & always keep you and your animals well being in mind.
