My husband and I adopted Frank on Black Friday in 2014. (Black cats were on sale that day, but we ended up with a dog!) He originally had been brought in as a stray. He was adopted by another family before us, but returned after a year. He had been back in the shelter a few weeks, and he wasn’t doing very well – he had rubbed the skin off the top of his nose.

Frank is the most loving, loyal dog in the entire world. He has to be touching or looking at us at all times. His absolute favorite thing in the entire world is to cuddle on the bed. (He’s quite the bed hog, but we’d never have the heart to force him to sleep elsewhere.) Frank’s a well-traveled dog; we’ve moved across the country and back (the picture of him is at the Pacific Ocean), and he now lives in Florida. He has three cat siblings that he absolutely adores; he frequently plays with one of our rescue cats, Livvy. Although he’s technically a senior dog (estimated age is 8 -12 years old), he has no idea; he loves walks and playing monkey in the middle with tennis balls. Depending on where his ears are at any precise moment, he alternates between looking like an alien, a kangaroo, and Yoda. Although his coat is getting more whiter and whiter these days, we hope we have several more years with this goofball.
