Originally I was looking for a cat a little older to be a companion. I was concerned about having a kitten when moving back to school and working, but it just had to happen. My boyfriend and I were at Tiny Lions the day she was brought in. She had just been fixed and was very mellow, hiding in a box, in a crate, in a corner. I went over to see her, reached out my hand, and she dropped her whole body into it. The second she did that I knew she was mine. My boyfriend looked at me and said, “You have to get her.” I went back that Saturday to finish her adoption and take her home.

Piper is my best friend and a reason I get up some mornings. She is so loved by my roommates and I, we couldn’t be happier. Such unconditional love from such an amazing companion, and I couldn’t love her more. HSHV gave me my best friend and I couldn’t be more grateful.
